The city of San Diego offers a number of different museums for guests and visitors alike to enjoy. However, sometimes it might seem that there are so many or the admission price is too expensive and this keeps guests from visiting the many museums that can be found throughout the city. Lucky for you, February also happens to the San Diego’s Museum Month! This means that for the entire month of February, guests and locals can visit select museums for half-off admission prices!
The San Diego Museum Month is brought to you by the San Diego Museum Council as well as Macy’s. During the month of February, you can explore more than 40 museums in the area and experience unbeatable savings. All you have to do is head to any Macy’s store in the area and pick up a Museum Month Pass. This will give you half-off admission to any of the 40 participating museums.
One of the museums that you can get half-price admission for is the California Surf Museum. Visit this unique museum and learn about the history of the surf movement that has been a strong part of the San Diego identity for decades. The California Surf Museum is located at 312 Pier View Way, Oceanside and is open on Thursdays from 10am-8pm. All other days it is open from 10am to 4pm. Other museums that you can enjoy during Museum month include the Maritime Museum of San Diego, the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center, the Gaslamp Museum at William Heath Davis House, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego Botanic Garden, The San Diego Museum of Art, USS Midway Museum and more.
