Have a Blast at the Big Bay Boom Fireworks Show in San Diego with Friends and Family!

June 27, 2014 By Kings Inn

Do you love fireworks? If so, you won’t want to miss Southern California’s largest fireworks display this 4th of July at the 13th Annual Big Bay Boom at San Diego’s North Bay. The show is from 9-9:20pm, but make a whole day out of it by coming to the beach early and securing your spot to get the best viewing experience! Not only will there be a great fireworks display, but it will be orchestrated with original musical pieces. If you’re looking for the best of the best in San Diego July 4th events, then you have found it with the Big Bay Boom! It has been called the Best Fireworks Show in the entire nation, so this 4th of July, come down to The Big Bay fireworks display with friends and family!

The Big Bay Boom started back in 2001 and now approximately 500,000 people attend the show! What makes the Big Bay Boom so great is that there are not just fireworks coming from one or two piers, instead there are fireworks from an incredible total of five piers! There are a lot of great places to see the fireworks. Some of the best viewing spots are from Point Loma homes, Coronado Landing, Seaport Village, Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North/South Embarcadero, Liberty Station, Little Italy, and from boats on the water.

The estimated 300,000 – 500,000 people that attend each year create an incredible $10.6 million that benefits the city of San Diego. A total of $4.2 million in revenue is created for the economy, and there is a $6 million direct impact going to local hotels, retail shops, restaurants, museums, tour operators, and boat rental companies. Since there will be so many people attending, the city of San Diego wants to make sure that everyone will be safe and have a great time. In order to ensure the safety of others, the Harbor Police, Coast Guard, City of San Diego police and special patrol vessels will be assisting all night to assist with both traffic and public safety.
