Budget-Friendly Things To Do In San Diego

October 19, 2016 By Kings Inn

Just because you might be traveling on a budget does not mean that you won’t still be able to have a good time. Lucky for you, San Diego is home to so many attractions and museums that are either free, or at least pretty inexpensive. If you are looking for free things to do in San Diego, here is the list for you!

The first stop you should make in San Diego is Balboa Park. This huge expanse of land is completely FREE to enter. On the premise, you will find a number of museums, beautiful gardens, dog parks, and even the world-famous San Diego Zoo! While there are some locations in Balboa Park that you need to pay for, there are a number of FREE things to enjoy. For example, head to one of the many gardens for a relaxing stroll. Some of the gardens you can choose from include the Australian garden, the cactus garden, the California Native Plant garden and many more! For more information on all the free things to enjoy, visit www.balboapark.org/in-the-park

For another budget-friendly activity, head over to Seaport Village. While the area is known for their wide range of shopping opportunities as well as delicious eateries, there are also fun and cheap things to enjoy as well. For one thing, Seaport Village offers beautiful views of the ocean front, which is completely free. There are also a number of other free activities that are hosted throughout the year such as Poetry night as well as a number of different live music events. For more information on upcoming events, visit www.seaportvillage.com

Perhaps one of the best ways to enjoy a day in San Diego for cheap is to head to the beach! What better way to enjoy this sunny city then by heading to coast, soaking up the rays, and enjoying the ocean breeze. While there are many beaches to choose from, La Jolla and Mission beach are two of the most popular.
