Top 3 Beaches in Beautful San Diego

March 9, 2016 By Kings Inn

If you are visiting San Diego, a trip to the beach is a must. The only problem is that with so many incredible beaches, it might be hard to narrow down your search. To make things easy, here are the top 3 San Diego Beaches to visit during your stay.

First on the list is Mission Beach. What makes this beach such a great destination is that here, there is something for everyone. If you are looking for your typical beach experience where you simply lie back and soak up the sun, Mission Beach has two miles of sandy shoreline, so there’s plenty of room for everyone to shack up and work on their tan. If you want something a little more active, enjoy a game of beach volleyball or take a stroll down the boardwalk, where other activities such as rollerblading and biking are allowed. Also on the boardwalk is a giant roller coaster for those who love to catch the next thrill.

Next on the list is Coronado Beach. One of the great things about this beach is how easily accessible it is. Not only can you reach it by car, there are also a number of public buses and shuttles that will drop you off at the shore. The gentle waves here also make it a great place if you are learning how to boogie board or surf. Coronado Beach is also ranked as one of the most romantic beaches in the area. This wide, flat beach offers breathtaking views of the ocean, especially during a sunset.

Another must-visit beach in San Diego is La Jolla. La Jolla is an excellent beach for families to enjoy. While other beaches boast large and dangerous waves, La Jolla is a more relaxed alternative. The beach has been ranked as one of the best beaches for families in all of California. During the summer, La Jolla even actually has some of the gentlest waves out of all the beaches in San Diego. Aside from this, the Steven Birch Aquarium is also located nearby. Not only can you enjoy a fun day at the beach, but you can also take your kids to a fun and interactive aquarium.

A day at the beach is a must if you are visiting Southern California. Stay at an affordable hotel in San Diego near everything—Kings Inn San Diego
